Jesus Loves Children

By Sandra M. Hart

Some people brought their small children to Jesus so he could touch them. But his followers told the people to stop bringing their children to him. When Jesus saw this, he was displeased. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them.”

Mark 10:13-14a International Children’s Bible

Did you ever notice that some grown-ups seem too busy to listen to children? It’s not that they don’t care – they just get in a hurry and forget to pay attention sometimes.

Jesus was never too busy to listen to the children who came to see Him. Lots of adults wanted to talk to Him all the time. Leaders and other people told Jesus their problems and asked for His help. He was very busy.

He loved children and stopped to talk with them and bless them. Children are just as important as adults to Jesus.

Jesus wasn’t happy when the disciples tried to send the children away. He picked up the little ones and talked with them. He blessed them.

He loves you. He loves to hear you pray. You can pray anytime during the day or night and He will hear you.

He is never too busy for you.
