Don’t Forget The Map!

Sometimes I wish I had been born in the days when there were pirates, so I could sail with them to search for buried treasure.

Imagine you are a pirate. With the sun on your back and the wind in your hair, you sail to a deserted island, somewhere in the middle of the ocean. Jump off the ship and feel the warm sand between your toes. Take a deep breath. Suddenly… you’ve forgotten the most important part of your journey–THE MAP! Without it, there is no treasure. Without your map, you are unable to get back home.

Life is a little like that. Each day we wake and set out on a new journey. We have no way of knowing when we rise and greet the day where our journey will lead. The good news is, we have a map.

God’s Word is our map. All the directions we need for every journey of our life are in the Bible. All we have to do is read it.

The treasure we are searching for is Heaven. It is the big prize at the end of our journey. So, whatever you do, wherever you go…don’t forget your map!
