The New You Express

The New You Express

You were taught  to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)

All aboard The New You Express!

What excitement as we prepare for a ‘new’ beginning! So many unanswered questions for the adventurous among us. Of course, all the ‘new’ gadgets, devices, games, clothes, toys. A brand ‘new’ year with ‘new’ hairstyles, opportunities, sports, activities, friends!

All this kind of newness will soon become the ‘old’. However, if you know or get to know JESUS as your personal Savior and LORD~each day will be totally ‘new’! You will be ‘new’!

Everyday is fresh, exciting, and an opportunity to start over again.

With God’s gift of each new day (that’s why it is called ‘present’), we CAN begin again. All the sins, failures, mistakes, and disappointments of yesterday CAN be left behind in the past as we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling in JESUS. His mercies are new each morning as HE GOD HIMself supplies our daily bread.

This new life in CHRIST is ‘NOT’ to be compared with any other supposedly ‘new’! Thank and praise God for His new and different life and a fresh start in Him! Thank God for His forgiveness, salvation, mercy, and love.

This new life is not quick, rather it is a growing process. With God’s help, diligent study of His Word, sincere desire to become new, church attendance, support of Christian family/friends, and lots of prayer our new selves replace the old. We here are praying for you and look forward to your comments and questions about your progress!

Include these in your daily reading, memorization,  and prayers to feed and become a stronger ‘new’ you:

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43:19

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 11:19

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Prayer:

🙏🏾Father, we thank YOU for Your new day, new week, and NEW Year! Here, I am the ‘new’ me You are making! Your forgiveness and another chance to begin again are gifts. YOU have power, love, creativity enough to create us and to recreate us! Just as previous years have passed on, the ‘old’ is gone. Whatever was is just that ‘was’-used to be! We thank YOU! You made it possible for us to be born! Now, we are born AGAIN- a new beginning because of Your sacrifice on the cross. We praise You!

I ask you, in the name of JESUS, that each of us would study to show ourselves approved unto GOD this New Year (2 Timothy 2:15). I pray that none of our children, youth, teens would allow anyone to look down on them because of their age . Lord, help them to be an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). May we all stir up the gifts that You have placed within us this new day, new week, and new month! Yes, we desire to continue learning, loving  and serving You even as we helping others do the same this ‘New Year’…then always.

In JESUS name-AMEN.
