The Animals Come to the Ark

Dear Diary,

Children, you will never believe what began happening this morning—animals have been coming to us all day! Noah reminded me we will have two of every kind of animal to go on the ark with us. The boys are going to have a ton of poop scooping to do.

I cannot tell you how many kinds of animals have showed up. Some of them are strange looking. One of the strangest I’ve seen is this really tall animal with a long neck, yellow hair with brown spots, and door knobs on top of its head. I don’t understand how it gets a drink when its head is upside down. Unlike another animal huge gray and wrinkled skinned, tree trunks for legs … whose teeth are too big to fit in its mouth, and it squirts water in its mouth with its long nose.

The neighbors are complaining about the noise and the smell. Some think Noah has lost his marbles. Other are mad that the ark is blocking their view. But because Noah got the permit from the city to build it, the city won’t stop him. I’m proud of him for doing what God wants him to do and not letting what people say upset him.
