Stay Healthy and Safe With God’s Good Guidelines

GOD our loving, protective, all-wise, all-knowing Father establishes guidelines within His enormity of grace, freedom, and love for our benefit. He fully understands the havoc, insecurity, guilt, shame, and destruction of the consequences we will reap without His boundaries. In the perfect setting of Eden, there was a loving provision of protection. The Law, Ten Commandments, and all of scripture was written for our well-being that is to be in a wholesome, right relationship with our Maker, our neighbor, ourselves!

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

God’s love mirrors God’s boundaries. Often, we question, resist, rebel, kick, and scream; yet, we know full well they are necessary and beneficial for us. Because of the sinful nature of our world and in our hearts, we would run wild and self-destruct without firm boundaries.

Imagine no bike lanes; no guard rails on bridges; no goalposts on the football field! What did you imagine? Draw or write your ideas _____________________________________.

Thank GOD He is our Sovereign-forever faithful Protector and Guide! He is our mighty, merciful, loving LORD Who sits in heaven, and sees it ALL; NOT simply expecting, waiting for us to mess up so He can crush us. He establishes the boundaries to keep us on paths that are for our good and for His glory! When we cross them, He gently guides us. When, if need be (which is very often) He guides with a stronger, firmer Hand! God is a big God Who has a big heart! He has big plans for His children! He gives big pictures to color…

Coloring- outside the line=that’s all good and fine! 

Stay-‘inside the line’ ALIVE=That’s God’s way to thrive!

Boundaries teach us to trust God, perceive right from wrong, develop, grow, and establish our identity all while experiencing, demonstrating love, and preparing for the future. 

Pray: God our protective Father, how we love and appreciate Who You are! Thank You for providing for our safety and security found in The Bible the guidelines for living the way You have planned for us. Help us to quickly trust YOU, Your love, Your lead, Daddy! Praise You LORD for knowing what I don’t know and seeing what I can’t see. Amen.
