Saved by a Man

Saved by a Man

Mrs. Moses’s Diary

They answered, “An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds. He even drew water for us and watered the flock.” Exodus 2:19 (NIV)

Dear Diary,

You won’t believe what happened today. My sisters and I were at the well watering our sheep when some bullies came. They scattered our sheep so they could use the well.

As my sisters were gathering the sheep, a man appeared and chased the men away. He then drew more water and helped us water our sheep. He looked to be Egyptian, but why was he alone?

When we returned home early, my dad wanted to know why. When I told him what happened, he had me bring the man home so my father could properly thank him.

I ran back to the well, and the man was still there. He gladly came with me back to meet my dad. My sisters prepared a hot bath for him and my dad got him some clean clothes. I cooked a big feast, for him and all the leaders of Midian.

My dad introduced Moses to the leaders as the man who saved his daughters.
