I Feel Sorry for Moses

I Feel Sorry for Moses

Mrs. Moses Diary

You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonder in Egypt, he will not listen to you. Exodus 7:2-4a

Moses’ first meeting with Pharaoh didn’t go well. It made the Egyptian ruler angry and he took it out on the Hebrews … and that made the Hebrews mad at Moses.

Moses prayed to God and found out His plan. It won’t be easy. God will be doing the hard work. Through all that is to come God will show Pharaoh that God is stronger than him and He is in control.

The next time they went before Pharaoh and he refused my husband’s request, Moses had Aaron throw his staff down. It became a snake. The Egyptian magicians were able to do the same thing. The only differences were, their snakes were smaller and got swallowed up by Arron’s snake.

Like God told Moses, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened.
