\u201cMy mommy says I can do anything.\u201d The young eight-year-old girl said as she climbed up and into the aircraft with authority. She fixed the seat belt around her and looked forward, seeing only the yoke. \u201cI can\u2019t see!\u201d she pouted.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere this will help.\u201d Jenna held her up and slid a seat extension under her.<\/p>\n

Lena sat down and a big smile covered her face. \u201cMuch better,” she said. “I\u2019m ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s get this plane in the air, Lena.\u201d Jenna gave instructions to all the girls at Aviation Boot Camp. \u201cI like your confidence, Lena.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenna smiled as she lifted the plane off the ground and started the downwind leg of the flight. \u201cI like your confidence too, Miss Jenna.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSince you can\u2019t touch the rudder pedals, I\u2019ll do that part. Why don\u2019t you take the yoke and steer the plane?\u201d<\/p>\n

Lena carefully grasped the yoke and listened for instructions.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you see the horizon?” Jenna asked. “I want you to keep the plane level to that. Show me you can do that.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m doing it! I\u2019m doing it.\u201d Lena said with excitement.<\/p>\n

Jenna nodded her head in approval.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhilippians 4:13 says, ‘I can do all things\u2026’\u201d Lena paused as she tried to remember. \u201c’\u2026through Christ who strengthens me.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The plane remained on a straight and level course.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, you are confident,\u201d Jenna said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know Him, too?\u201d Lena asked with a wide smile.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I do! I can do all things through Christ too!\u201d Jenna beamed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow did you get so smart?\u201d Jenna asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mommy tells me all about Jesus and what He did for me and keeps doing for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got a great start in a life with Christ, and flying planes!\u201d<\/p>\n

They exchanged glances and smiles.<\/p>\n

Tater, a class clown boy of fifteen, sat in the waiting area. His lunch was doing flip-flops as he looked for the incoming plane. He was frightened. How would he laugh his way out of this one?<\/p>\n
