The Legend of the Candy Cane Author Unknown A candymaker wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry and death of Jesus Christ. He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus; and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church and the firmness of the promises of God.   The candymaker made the candy in the form of a “J” to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Saviour. Structurally engineered plans make bridges safe and beautiful, too! The New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia is the highest bridge at 876 feet above the river. (This is a fabulous place to go white water rafting!) The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, is one of the most famous bridges in the whole world! Your mom and dad had to learn how to use money wisely. Make a plan for how to use your money! Step 1: Get three envelopes. Label one: FUN MONEY. Label the second: SAVE. Label the third: GIVE. Step 2: Divide your money into the three envelopes. How much from every dollar should go in each envelope? (Or see the chart below.) Hmmmmm.
