Everyone needs friends and Jesus was no exception. He probably had lots of friends while he was growing up, but when he got older and started His ministry, He had twelve close friends that He called disciples. A disciple is someone who agrees with the beliefs and teachings of another person. Jesus was the leader and His disciples followed Him. There’s a TV show called “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” How do you think those 5th graders feel when they know more than the adults?  It probably makes them feel pretty good, right?
