Speak Life Today
“Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” — Proverbs 16:24
Our words are powerful.
Every day, we use words to talk to our friends, our family, and even ourselves. Words can help people feel loved and encouraged, but they can also hurt if we’re not careful.
The Bible tells us that kind words are like honey. That means they bring joy, healing, and life. When we choose our words wisely, we can help others feel seen, valued, and loved.
Jesus always spoke life. He encouraged people, showed kindness, and reminded others of who God created them to be. And He invites us to do the same.
Today, let’s think about our words:
- Are they kind?
- Are they helpful?
- Do they point others toward God’s love?
Before you speak today, pause and ask God to help you choose words that bring life. Even small words can make a big difference.
Let’s take a moment now to worship and remember that we can speak life today, just like Jesus does.

Dylan Arms is a worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist from Greer, SC. Since 2013, he has served on staff at Springwell Church, leading worship and overseeing production with over a decade of ministry experience. He discovered his passion for helping the next generation worship Jesus while leading kids in worship for several summers at various camps and churches. His musical journey has also taken him beyond the church walls to national platforms such as American Idol and The Voice.
A Note from the Author: I’ve had a heart for creating music that helps kids and families connect with God for years, and this project has become even more personal since my wife and I welcomed our first child. Made to Worship was born out of a desire to bring together scripture, reflection, and song in a way that equips parents and ministry leaders to nurture worship and Christ-centered habits in kids. My hope is that this resource encourages families to worship together and helps kids see that worship isn’t just for church, but for everyday life. At the heart of it all, we were made to worship, and when we live that out, we step into the fullness of who God created us to be.
