Self Portrait

Self Portrait

Have you ever drawn a picture of yourself? It’s a hard thing to do.

The next time you look in a mirror, look at the shape of your eyes, your nose and your mouth. Do your eyes tilt up or down on the ends? Is your nose round or is it more long than wide? Are your lips thin or full? Is your hair curly, straight or somewhere in between?

There are some people who say that if you don’t look a certain way, then you’re not beautiful. But do you know what the Bible says about that? It says that you were created by God and that you are “wonderfully made.” That means you’re God’s special creation. And because God doesn’t make mistakes, you were made exactly the way God wanted. You are beautiful.

The image below is a link to a worksheet to help you draw a self-portrait (picture of yourself). There’s an outline for your head and shoulders to help you get everything in the right place. There’s also ideas for fun things to add to your creation: different hairstyles and extras like a tie, glasses, a sheriff’s badge, even a word bubble so your portrait can say something important.

Click on the link below to go to the webpage where you can print out the sheet and have fun drawing!
