Leaf Booklet

by Beth Godwin

Supplies:

1.       1 sheet construction paper

2.       8 pieces white copy paper

3.       Hole puncher

4.       A 12-inch piece of ribbon or yarn

5.       Crayons

First, fold construction paper in half. Do the same with the white papers.

Second, insert the white paper inside the construction paper.

Third, use the hole puncher to punch two holes on the folded side of the paper.

Fourth, thread the yarn or ribbon through the holes and tie a knot or a bow to make a booklet.

Finally, go outside and find some leaves, grass, or flowers. Place the leaf underneath a sheet of white paper. Then, color over the part of the paper that is covering the leaf. Watch as the leaf’s outline and veins appear. See if you can identify the leaf.
