Jesus, Our Peacemaker … Referee … Mediator

For there is one God and one Mediator [Peacemaker; Referee; Connection] between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.

Picture who JESUS is.  Stretch your brain a bit and tell me what do you see in your mind’s eye? Loving parents who nurture, teach, protect, correct and enjoy their children with deep love? How about a Chief Shepherd caring for  tenderly comforting, defending, feeding, rescuing them? Brightest of Lights in the darkest of places? Sunshine on cloudy days? Shield, Cool, pure, clean drink of water in sweltering heat? Strong Tower, Great Physician, tried and true, trusted Friend, freshly baked Bread! How do you see JESUS?

Celebrating God’s  of life, salvation, health, and strength our son kindly gifted me his presence and a birthday registration for this years’ Maryland Baybridge run/walk! We thoroughly enjoyed our walk, along with thousands of others! Taking in this scenery, I pictured our Savior JESUS as the Divine Bridge connecting us to His righteous Father. The Bible teaches that there is only one way for humankind to have relationship with a holy, righteous GOD.

We are separated from God because of sin. God loves us beyond all that we can imagine so God The Father sent JESUS His only Son from Heaven to earth among people for one purpose! Jesus lived, loved, prayed, laughed, taught, healed, served then suffered, bled, died and rose from the grave so we would have a living, human example of Who God is.

This massive structure of concrete reminded  me of Who JESUS is. The One and only means by which I get from A-far, far away from GOD ALL THE WAY to point B-in GOD’s presence, family, and Kingdom! Next time you see or ride on a bridge, I pray you will better understand and fully believe Who and Why JESUS is our connection to being GOD’s children!

Loving Father, we praise and thank You for Your perfect plan to get us in right relationship with You! Jesus, we appreciate Your leaving Your Father, Your throne, and Your Home to secure us a place with GOD and You! Holy Spirit, You are teaching us more and more about GOD, JESUS, and YOU. We love You! We believe YOUR Words and receive YOUR good and perfect plan.
