How Skipper Tamed the World’s Wild Waters
Ahoy, mates! Brace the main and prepare fer the greatest sea tale ever told. This be the story of how the Skipper tamed the world’s wild waters.
In the beginning, there be nothing but water. Everywhere and all around, water covered everything, with no Land-Ho for a pirate to make port. ‘Cept back then there were no pirate mates, only the Skipper and the water.
And not the kinda water ye wantin’ ter splash around in, but wild and deep like a never-ending tidal wave.
Now, Skipper, seein’ how He created all things, knew the potential of this water, and the Skipper pulled off the greatest feat in history!
Skipper’s Spirit roiled the surface of the deep. And there was lightnin’ and booms! Stars and flashes and with a mighty thunder out popped the seas, oceans, rivers, and dry land!
Land, mates!
The thing we don’t sink into!
A place ter stretch yer legs and not have ter swim fer yer life from sharks and the like.
Now, ye’ve seen the ocean, right? It’s all calm and pretty until a storm hits and ye’re in a sea battle with waves the size of a blue whale.
Do not fear! Skipper’s got control over the waves.
The seas may be big, strong, and prone ter tantrums, but Skipper? He tames ‘em like a bunch o’ rowdy minnows caught in a kiddie pool.
So remember, pirates-in-training, the Skipper made all this fer our enjoyment and He knows exactly how ter keep it from turnin’ yer sails inside out.
So next time ye gulp down a cup of fresh water, thank the Skipper fer makin’ it so a drop or more quenches yer thirst. And if ye ever feel like ye’re in the middle of a storm—ye can trust the Skipper ter guide ye safely through.
The One who created the skies, sea, and land be the best captain there ever be. So, hoist yer juice boxes and water bottles. Time ter set sail!
Genesis 1:6-10
