God’s Love Never Changes

God’s Love Never Changes

God’s love never changes. This Bible lesson for kids shares a fall story, verse, and activity to help children learn God’s love is forever.

Braden zipped up his jacket as he and Fudgie, his beagle pup, crunched through a pile of leaves.

“Look, Fudgie!” he laughed, tossing orange, yellow, and red leaves into the air.

Fudgie leaped after them, snapping at the leaves as if they were toys.

Braden looked up at the trees. The green summer leaves were gone. Now the branches glowed with fall colors. “Wow, things sure change, don’t they, Fudgie?” he said. “The leaves, the weather, even how it gets dark so early.”

Fudgie tilted his head and wagged his tail.

Braden smiled. “But you know what never changes? God!” He remembered the Bible verse he had learned:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

God’s Love Never Changes

“Even when the leaves fall, even when it gets cold, and even when I feel scared or lonely, God’s love never changes. He’s always with me…just like you, Fudgie.”

“Woof! Woof!” Fudgie barked and bounced into another leaf pile, sending leaves flying everywhere.

Braden laughed and rolled down into the leaves beside him. He hugged his puppy tight. “God’s love is our safe place, buddy. Always.”

Some things changed—the leaves, the seasons, the colors—but God never would. His love was big, steady, and always there—just like Fudgie by his side.

Fudgie barked happily, and together they watched the leaves swirl, feeling brave and loved.

Family Activity: Falling Leaves Blessings
Go outside and grab some leaves. Toss them in the air together! As each leaf falls, say one way God shows His love that never changes. You can say things like:

“God loves me.”

“God keeps me safe.”

“God gave me my family.”

“God listens to my prayers.”
