God Takes Care of You!

A Special Message About Trusting God to Care for You

Based on Matthew 6:33

Have you ever planted a seed? Maybe you put a tiny seed in the dirt, watered it, and waited to see what would grow. It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it? That little seed turns into something beautiful!

Today, we’re going to talk about a very special kind of seed—not one you plant in dirt, but one you plant in your heart. It’s called the “Kingdom Seed,” and it’s all about putting God first in everything you do!

Jesus’ Special Promise

Jesus told us something really important. He said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

That might sound like big words, but here’s what it means: When you make God the most important thing in your life, He promises to take care of everything you need! Isn’t that wonderful?

Think about it like this: Imagine you’re building the biggest, most awesome tower with blocks. If you put the most important block at the bottom first—the strong one—then all the other blocks stack up nicely on top. When we put God first, everything else in our lives works better, too!

How Do We Put God First?

Step 1: Make God’s Work Your Work

This means helping others the way God would want us to. When you share your toys with a friend who doesn’t have many, you’re doing God’s work! When you help your mom or dad without being asked, you’re putting God first! When you’re kind to someone who feels sad, you’re showing God’s love!

God loves it when we help others. And guess what? When we do what God loves, He takes care of what we need!

Step 2: Trust God’s Promises

Sometimes things might feel scary or hard. Maybe you’re worried about something. That’s when you can talk to God! You can say out loud, “God, I trust You! You are going to take care of me!”

Even if you feel a little worried inside, it’s okay to say, “God, help me trust You more!” God loves it when we talk to Him honestly. Every time you say these words, your trust in God grows bigger and stronger—like that tiny seed growing into a big plant!

Step 3: Remember When God Helped You

Think back to times when God took care of you. Maybe you were sick and got better. Maybe you were scared and felt peaceful. Maybe you needed a friend, and someone kind came along.

God has helped you before, and He’ll help you again! You can even draw pictures of times God was good to you and put them somewhere you can see them. When you look at those pictures, you’ll remember: God always takes care of His children!

Be Patient Like a Gardener

Here’s something important about seeds: they don’t grow overnight! When you plant a seed, you don’t dig it up the next day to check if it’s growing. You have to wait patiently, keep watering it, and trust that something wonderful is happening under the ground where you can’t see it.

It’s the same with trusting God! Sometimes God answers our prayers right away. Sometimes we have to wait. But even when we can’t see what God is doing, He’s always working! He’s always taking care of us!

So don’t give up! Keep putting God first. Keep being kind. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Your “seed” is growing!

God’s Super Special Promise to YOU!

Here’s the most amazing part: when you put God first, He doesn’t just give you what you need because you earned it. He gives it to you because He loves you SO much! He’s your Heavenly Father, and good fathers take care of their children.

God loves you more than you could ever imagine. When you love Him back and try to make Him happy by being kind and helpful, and good, He makes sure you have everything you need.

Your Challenge This Week

This week, try these three things:

  1. Help someone without being asked—that’s putting God’s work first!
  2. Say out loud each morning: “God, I trust You to take care of me!”
  3. Thank God for three good things He’s given you.

Remember, friends: First God, then everything else. It’s not just a good idea—it’s God’s special promise to you!

Prayer: “Dear God, help me put You first in everything I do. Thank You for always taking care of me. Help me trust You more every day. Amen!”

God loves you! Keep growing your Kingdom Seed!
