Once upon a time, the Earth was empty, formless, shapeless, and dark. Water covered everything. Then God started creating things on Earth.
God took six days to create. He brought things into existence out of nothing. On the seventh day, He rested. He stopped creating.
God created the Heavens and the Earth, with everything within them, to serve His purpose.
