Being Different

Have you ever felt like a stranger? Maybe you felt that you were different from everyone else? Perhaps you don’t have as many friends as other people. Or, maybe you don’t know what to say sometimes.

The Bible commands us to be nice to people who are different. Hebrews 13:2 says, “Do not forget to entertain strangers for some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Did you know the word, angel, means “messenger?” This verse refers to people like Abraham, who made a meal for strangers and later found out they were angels with a special message from God (Genesis 18).

Have you ever thought that you’re different because God has a special plan for you? Perhaps you’re different because God wants you to be His messenger. Think about the special gifts God has given you and how you can be a messenger for God.
