At Your Service

Have you ever been out to eat and had a waiter or waitress serve you? Wasn’t it nice to have someone bring your food to you, refill your drink and even wash your dishes when you were finished? It made you feel like you were special.

Now, imagine you are a waiter or waitress. Suppose the President or a King came to sit at your table. Would you be proud or just a little scared? You’d want to make sure that you did everything just right and do the best you could, so you could make your guest happy.

The Bible says we should serve others that way. We’re supposed to serve others as if we were serving God, himself. Can you imagine how awesome that would be?

The Secret to Service

The puzzle below (called a cryptogram) holds the secret to service. See if you can figure it out. Each number in the puzzle stands for a letter. The vowels (a, e, i, o and u) are given, along with the consonants “s” and “v.”
